Any Jalops wear The North Face ETIP gloves? I've got questions for you.
Have a slightly old picture of my friend's EF and my NA.

I wear black leather gloves lined with cashmere for everything but snowmobiling and snowball fights (similar to the one pictured). I bought them at Wilson's Leather like 10 years ago and they're pretty fantastic. They are grippy without being grabby, which is really important for smooth steering wheel and shifter use. Plus, they look classy and you can make OJ Simpson jokes whenever you put them on...
My experience with "outdoorsy" gloves is that they are usually too grabby to drive with and often don't block the wind very well. Leather solves both of those problems, in my opinion.
What are you planning to do with them? Hiking? Snowball fights? Chop up a hooker?

Well first of all, I decided to pass on the ETIPs.
I live in California so I don't need very warm gloves (for example one of my "pairs" is a pair of my dad's old glove liners from when he used to live in the midwest). I was asking about the ETIPs because I found a pair with a really nice print on the top and thought "hey, I wear light gloves enough for this to be worth it." In the end I decided the sizing looked kind of weird (loose cuff = no) and they were pretty expensive, so mission aborted.
My mom has a pair of lined leather gloves. They're super nice, I think my money would be spent there. Something with a little grip would be nice, yeah.

That makes sense. I lived for years in Menlo Park, CA, and now am in Michigan (I grew up here). I'm pretty sure the only times I used my gloves out West was when I drove up to Crater Lake, OR for Christmas a couple years ago. Of course, I was one of like 4 people in NorCal that didn't ski or snowboard, so I guess I missed more chances to use them!
